Governor’s Profiles

Caroline Maughan (Foundation Governor)

I am currently the Chair of the Governing Board and the Child Protection and Health & Safety Link Governor. I am a regular parishioner at St Matthias (Worcester Park, Surrey). I have three children. My son is currently in Year 6 at St Anne’s and my youngest daughter is at Richard Challoner Sixth Form College. I have been involved with St Anne’s for over 40 years having attended the school along with my siblings and then my three children continued the family tradition. Professionally I am a Legal PA at a City Law Firm.

Annie Mulroy (Foundation Governor)

I became a foundation governor in 2015 having been a parishioner at St Anne’s church for more than ten years. I am the vice-chair of the Governing Board and the SEN and Pupil Premium Link Governor. My daughter was a pupil at the school from 2013-15 before we moved out of the locality. I now worship at Virgo Fidelis Upper Norwood.

I am a professional classical singer and have extensive experience in Arts the education.

Maria Rajaratnam (Parent Governor)

I became a parent governor in 2016 and I am the chair of the Pupils, Parents and Community Committee. I am the More Able Gifted and Talented link governor.

Anene McPeake (Parent Governor)

I am a parent governor at St Anne’s, with my son currently attending and my daughter having recently left at the end of Year 6. I am also the link governor for the Early Years and PSHE. I have always been keen to support the school and am an active member of the Friends of St Anne’s (FOSA), a parent group who organise and run events to support the school, such as family film nights and fairs. I am a teacher in a Catholic Sixth Form College.

Fr Gerald Wilson O.A.R (Foundation Governor)

On May 17 th 2018, at the Provincial Chapter of the Augustinian Recollects, I was appointed Parish Priest of St Anne’s. I was also invited to take on the role of school governor. I felt privileged and delighted to accept. May favourite pastoral duty is saying Mass for the school children and seeing their delight when I tell a joke at the end of the service.

Abi Talbot (Staff Governor)

I have been a teacher at St Anne’s for seven years and took on the role of staff governor in 2019. I have spent all of my teaching career in the Early Years, as Reception class teacher for five years and more recently as the Nursery class teacher. I also have the privilege of leading the Early Years department. I took on the role of staff governor as I wanted the opportunity to make a real contribution to the strategic management of the school. It provides an interesting and rewarding dimension to my work.

Sr Irena (Foundation Governor)

I became a governor at St Anne’s at the end of 2018. I have known the school for many years as I live in the neighbouring parish of Saint Francis de Sales, Stockwell where I worked as parish sister for over fifteen years. Many of the children from the parish attended Saint Anne’s then as they do now. My own background is in primary education and being able to have some involvement with children and school makes a welcome break from my present job as sector leader of the Holy Family Sisters.
