It’s that time of year again…! Friday 20th September, 4-6pm, saw our school community gather together in the playground to celebrate the cultural diversity at St Anne’s.
International Evening is a hugely popular event every year, with our children and families dressing in traditional costumes from their countries and bringing food to share with everyone. This year we had the following tables: Portugal, Eritrea, Ethiopia, England, Poland, Ecuador, Sierra Leone, Nigeria, Spain, Sri Lanka, Columbia, Congo, Columbia, Italy and Uganda. Yum! The entertainment was second to none, with Early Years to Y6 performing songs from different countries after rehearsals with Mr Butterworth – what stars they are! The gorgeous weather helped the evening along too.
The Friends of St Anne’s (FoSA) also ran a refreshments stall, with proceeds being donated to the Bambang Sunshine Project in memory of Mr Eric – a past governor and volunteer at the school. If you would like to volunteer with FoSA for future events, please see Miss Talbot or Miss Hollamby for more details.
Thank you so much to everyone for coming, joining in and helping to celebrate what makes St Anne’s so special.
